It is hard to find a cyclist or triathlete that hasn´t been affected by saddle sores at some point. Saddle sores can ruin your ride or race day, however, you will be pleased to know that remedies for this troublesome problem have come on a long way since riders back in the day would put slabs of meat in their shorts to ease the pain.
At some point in your triathlon career you are going to pick up an injury. It could be anything from Wetsuit Chafing to Blisters to Metatarsal Stress Fractures. Some injuries you will just have to accept as a given but the vast majority you can overcome with proper training and planning.

When you do core strength training you are building the muscles that stabilise your spine and pelvis as well as your abdominals. These muscles include Hip Flexors, External Obliques, Internal Obliques, Hip Adductors, Rectus Abdominis and Transverse Abdominis to name but a few.

The importance of open water swimming during training is underrated by a lot of Triathletes. 99.9% of Triathlon competitions are in open water and yet a lot of us prefer the warmth and security you get from the local leisure centre pool! The only way to adapt and feel comfortable in open water is to don the wetsuit and brave the water. Open water swimming is not something to fear.
